How I can help

Through writing, movement and the sky, I help others find their Way.

Writing and research, talks, Qigong, and astrology read through Oriental medicine: one practice with a few doors. Begin with the one you want to open.

The page

Uncovering what matters.

Research. Writing. Editing. Programs. Outreach.

A proposal that needs shaping, a manuscript that needs a developmental edit, a program that needs its story: I write research briefs, proposals and workshop material, and design creative programs and the outreach that fills them, from a sold-out public program at the Denver Art Museum to talks across the Carolinas. Most recently, developmental editing for a forthcoming book on contemplative cosmology, astrology and somatic practice.

Trained in the humanities and in medicine, I read a subject the way an archaeologist reads a site: layer by layer, until what's buried comes to light.

Writing, editing and research projects are welcome.

The room

I connect.

People. Places. Ideas. Communities. Businesses.

I connect people with fresh approaches and ideas, and with their own self-awareness: through the mind-body connection, and through ancestral and astrological patterns.

Talks for organizations and the people they bring together: workplaces and professional development, alumni and member events, conferences and retreats, libraries and museums, coffee and tea houses. Subjects to bring to your group:

  • Chinese medicine and herbology
  • Qigong
  • Astrological cycles and journeys
  • Green burial as land conservation
  • The Brandcestral Journey™, as consultant and co-presenter with BrandED Consultants Group

Coming up

Ask me to speak

Dragon Light: a dragon in silhouette rising out of a glowing crescent moon over dark water
Dragon Light Dragon Light describes how ancient practices seek to harness the dragon's power and its energy. That energy is believed to light the dark corners of the mind and help us grow.

The body

Coming back into the body.

Breath. Balance. Mobility. Ease.

Qigong that frees the joints and steadies the breath, for people who want to keep their balance and mobility, their core strength and energy centered.

Presence starts in the body. I work with actors and public speakers to gather and concentrate their energy before they step out, so it reaches their audience and reduces their anxiety and physical stress.

One-on-one and group sessions, from twenty years of integral yoga and holistic Qigong.

Small groups. No performance. You leave with something you can do tomorrow morning on your own.

The water

The patterns you inherited.

Ancestors. Archetypes. Cycles. Timing.

A reading looks for what came down to you and where you are carrying it. Western tropical, whole sign houses, a lunar thread from the Vedic side, and asteroids.

What you get is the reading and a short plan for what to do with it, so it doesn't end up in a drawer.

Selected work

  • Medicine as Art / Art as Medicine

A public program I designed and led at the Denver Art Museum, bringing together artists who were also practitioners. It sold out. I introduced each speaker, guided the day, and co-presented Qigong with my teacher, Henry Wu.

  • Emanations

An experimental film I co-created, screened in the United States and Europe and recognized at a festival in France.

  • Sky + Soul Collective

A home for talks and workshops, started in 2026 with the astrologer Mary.
